The International 10 Qualifiers dates announced
Recently Valve announced the dates of The International 10 Qualifiers, which in all regions start at different times. The CIS and South America are the first to play.
Dates for The International 10 Qualifiers:
- The CIS and South America: June 23-26
- North America and Southeast Asia: June 30-July 3
- China and Europe: July 7-10
Each region has a special Double-Elimination tournament for those participants in the second season of the DPC Regional Leagues that haven't received a direct invite to The International 10. Teams are seeded based on their results over the DPC season. The 8 top teams start the qualifiers in the upper bracket, while the rest start in the lower bracket. If there are fewer than 16 participants, the lower bracket team with the higher seed gets the technical win. The winners of each region's qualifiers advance to The International 10.
The International 10 runs on LAN on August 5-15 in Stockholm. It features 18 teams from around the world, of which 12 receive a direct invite after the DPC season, and another six have qualified. The total prize pool for the tournament is $40,018,195.
