Lifetime banned player Mineski will continue his career in Mobile Legends
Former Dota 2 PRO-player Jacko "Jacko" Soriano, who got a lifetime ban for match-fixing from Valve, will continue his career in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The Philippine team Amihan E-sports has signed a contract with the player.
The organization is aware of the player's past and said in an announcement that this was Jacko's first step towards redemption. It also asked fans to be sympathetic to this decision.
Jacko was considered a real prodigy of the Philippine Dota 2 scene: together with Mineski-X, he almost made it to the Shanghai Major in 2016. But it turned out that in 2014, playing for the main roster of Mineski, Jacko and other Esportsmen participated in match-fixing against MSI Evolution in the Asian division of StarLadder Season 10. For that match, both teams received $900 each.
