Gladiators beat Quest Esports in the opening tour
Gladiators kicked off their DPC tour with a win over Quest Esports. The teams needed three maps to determine the winner. dyrachyo and company approached this match as clear favorites, but Quest clinched one map for themselves.
Gladiators dictated the first map. From the 15th minute, Quest would stall, and the Gladiators' core players gained an advantage. Although the situation on kill didn't change, the Net Worth advantage was growing with each passing minute. In the end, the Gladiators won against Quest Esports.
On the second map, the Gladiators drafted their signature heroes, but ATF on Doom and TA2000 weren't about to lose. One fight on Roshan, and it was impossible for the Gladiators to come back. TA2000 finished the map with a 10/2/8 stat, and ATF on Doom became MVP with a score of 8/3/19.
The deciding map was a confrontation on carries between Sven and Drow Ranger. The Gladiators played fairly cleanly and finished the map in their favor with no problems, although many felt that Quest Esports had the stronger draft.
At the end of the first two DPC WEU Division 1 matches, the Gladiators and Entity are in the lead, while Quest Esports and Team Liquid start the season with losses. Only 4 WEU teams will qualify for the Bali Major 2023, where $500,000 and 3,500 DPC points are awarded.
